The Story

The Core is a study in contrast, balance and what lies within.

At the centre of a 25mm black vegetable ivory ring, a 0.20ct white diamond is suspended freely, moving subtly and catching the light as the necklace is worn.

The design represents the sparkle of the soul within the body — something precious, individual and alive held within an outer form.

The deep black vegetable ivory creates a strong sculptural frame, while the brilliance and movement of the diamond draw the eye directly to the centre. The result is deliberately minimal: the concept, material and stone carry the piece without unnecessary decoration.

One of AdeM by Hand’s most recognisable designs, The Core brings together an unusual natural material and fine jewellery craftsmanship in a form that is distinctly AdeM.

Styling Suggestion

The Core is designed to stand on its own.

Wear it with simple clothing — black, white, navy, cream, charcoal or soft neutral tones — allowing the contrast between the black vegetable ivory and white diamond to remain the focus.

Its clean geometry works particularly well with minimalist tailoring, a plain dress or an understated evening look.

Care Advice

Vegetable ivory is a natural material and should be kept dry and protected from perfume, oils and harsh chemicals.

Store the necklace separately in a soft pouch or jewellery box. Clean the sterling silver gently with a polishing cloth and avoid pulling, pressing or placing unnecessary tension on the suspended diamond setting.
